Executive Summary/
Picture this: two partners at the same firm, both tracking the same promising founder on LinkedIn. Neither knows the other has already been in touch. One sends a connection request with a note. The other, two days later, drops a cold message through Affinity Pathfinder. The founder gets both. The firm looks uncoordinated. A relationship that could have started well starts awkward instead.
For most VCs, the most important relationship activity doesn't happen in the CRM — it happens on LinkedIn. That's where founders are found, where warm intros land, where the first signal of a raise gets dropped in a DM. The CRM is supposed to capture all of that. Most of the time, it doesn't — and closing that gap manually means logging contacts, finding emails, adding reminders and notes across multiple tools, constant context switching, and still having to ask around before every move: has anyone already talked to this person?
Loop3 built the LinkedIn–Affinity Integration to close that gap: a Chrome extension that embeds CRM capture, email outreach, reminders, and contact enrichment directly into LinkedIn, so every high-frequency action happens where investors already work.
key pain points
What wasn’t working/
Relationship context trapped in LinkedIn and personal workflows
Founder conversations, warm intro threads, and relationship state lived in DMs, browser tabs, and memory — invisible to the broader team and impossible to operationalize through Affinity.
Context switching slowed execution and degraded CRM hygiene
Sending an email, setting a reminder, or creating a contact required leaving LinkedIn and manually connecting the dots across tools. The friction caused incomplete records and delayed follow-ups, especially as deal volume increased.
Duplicate outreach and coordination failures
Without up-to-date relationship visibility in Affinity, multiple team members could unknowingly contact the same person — creating confusion and reducing credibility with founders.
Contact data gaps delayed outreach
Affinity records often lacked verified email addresses. For early-stage and stealth companies, enrichment was manual and inconsistent, increasing drop-off between identifying a target and executing outreach.

The Solution
LinkedIn–Affinity Integration/
Message Synchronization
Partners can sync LinkedIn DM conversations to Affinity on-demand, with full control over what gets captured. Full-content sync captures the complete text; interaction-only sync logs that a conversation occurred without capturing message content, for privacy-sensitive discussions. Each message is logged as an individual interaction record with original timestamps preserved, appearing in the correct chronological order alongside emails and meetings.
Email Integration (Affinity, Gmail, Superhuman)
Investors can initiate outreach directly from the extension using their preferred email client. Three delivery options are supported — Affinity Email, Gmail, and Superhuman — each opening compose with the recipient pre-filled. Email becomes a one-step action while reviewing a profile.
Reminder Functionality
Investors can create follow-up reminders from the extension, standalone or as part of the outreach flow. The reminder is created in Affinity linked to the correct contact, converting "follow up later" from a mental note into a tracked commitment.
Contact and Company Creation
When a person isn't in Affinity, the extension enables fast contact creation from the current LinkedIn context, with immediate transition to email once the record exists. Users can also create a company record in Stealth Mode and associate it to the relevant individual — eliminating drop-off where contacts never get created and preventing orphan records inside Affinity.
Email Enrichment from LinkedIn
An enrichment flow retrieves a verified professional email from a LinkedIn profile and writes it back to the correct Affinity record. It validates via third-party providers, updates Affinity, and avoids duplicates — turning an interesting profile into an actionable outreach target in one step.
Outcomes that mattered/
More contacts, more accurate records, richer metadata across list assignment, ownership, and status fields. The CRM better reflected reality.
Clearer relationship visibility lowered the risk of multiple people contacting the same executive or stepping on an active thread.
Email, reminders, and record creation became in-context actions. The gap between identifying a target and executing outreach dropped significantly.
Less CRM drift meant teams relied less on private notes and memory. Affinity became the first place to check, not the last.
